I tried and tried to find the gif of Robert Stack driving with the rear projection gag from Airplane! but I couldn’t. So I’m posting all these.

You obv. don’t understand how motorsports works. Tire companies pay $$$$$$ for the exposure.

“Denny Hamlin will stop for 2 tires, and fill up with Sunoco Fuel”.

We don’t even have Sunoco’s around here.

Where else are you going to see a Camry with Goodyears?

I understand it perfectly...I may have been born at night but it wasn’t last night. My understanding, however, does nothing to temper the irritating and absurd nature of the bullshit.

It’s not just NBC. Fox does it. ABC did it and even the motor racing network on the radio broadcasts do it. The brands pay for the exposure
